OMD Interviewed by Richard Skinner, 3rd May 1983
A rather 'hissy' recording of a BBC interview with Ricahrd Skinner in which Andy and Paul discuss Dazzle Ships which was released on 4th March 1983.

A very good audience recording of the above show. It's rumoured that this show was also recorded by Radio-Bellevue FM but I have yet to find that source. Download is FLAC only.

Where tapers have requested shows to remain lossless, please respect this if passing on shows on to friends etc. MP3 for personal use is fine.
I want this blog to be as accurate as possible. Please contact me with any corrections or further information on anything that is posted here.
Special thanks go to Mark C, Smithy and James Worrall for tapes and CD's. Also to Kevin Pretlove and Ian Hayter, creators of the Compiled Website (http://www.omd.eu.com/), which has been an invaluable source for gig detail. Most recently, many thanks to Pat Fetty who is now hosting the files for download.

Thank you so much for those! For some reason R.Skinner's interview and Lyon's pt.2 does not proceed after you click Download! I hope it will be possible later as this is really brilliant valuable material!
ReplyDeleteThanks again!
All the best,
Alex
R.Skinner's interview just worked now! Download it! So I guess Lyon pt 2 wil work as well! That is such rare stuff! Thank you so much! I was really happily surprised to find an interview of 83 in audio! Incredible and never mind the hiss!
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
Alex
Here's a request! I know there is a bootleg of 1983 Manchester Apollo, the show with the most OMD songs ever! I'd love to have it! Also it would be brilliant any 1983 show that includes ABC Auto Industry. Just so we have the whole DAZZLE SHIPS atmosphere!
ReplyDeleteThank you,
Alex
Hi Alex, I have had some issues with Mediafire but all should be resolved now so all the downloads should work. I have a Liverpool show from 1983 but not a Manchseter one. I will contact Mark C to see if he has it and if so upload it.
ReplyDeleteHi Alex, great blog. Sadly I am (very) out of date getting here. Is there any chance you could re-upload the files as all Mediafire links are now dead?
ReplyDeleteI understand if you're too busy.
Cheers anyway,
D x
